Port Orange claims a City Center Municipal Complex that is peaceful and quiet even with cars going by. The lake and sidewalks are clean and pretty. It’s great for walking a small dog or reading a book and the library is right there. There are parks and recreational facilities, art center, picnic areas and fishing places. Port Orange also is the home of many excellent restaurants and claims some wonderful Asian Bistros.
The reviews say everything served from the Pu Pu Platter is really very good. Coconut Shrimps (amazing), Chicken and cashews, Chicken Pad Thai and many menu items. Customers can dine in and also take out. The food is cooked from fresh so have a little bit of patience and you’re in for a really nice treat – The prices are fair and the service is wonderful.
One patron says “I try almost every Thai restaurant around. I lived on Guam for three years, and Thai was my favorite. Still is.
This is simply the best Thai food I have had in Florida, and it’s not really a Thai restaurant.
The specialty is Chinese, and their Chinese food is excellent. But my personal favorite is the Drunken Noodles, served extra hot. I love curry, and Panang is my usual choice.
If you haven’t tried Drunken Noodles, this is the place to do it. Although there are many other choices, and the specials are always interesting.
Lunch includes soup and an egg roll, with large portions at a reasonable price ($9.99 for the Drunken Noodles).
I love Tom Kha Gai soup, but here I get the hot and spicy soup because it is superb, and does not include pork which helps since my wife is a vegetarian.
Service is friendly and welcoming. We are repeat customers and treated like family. I live in New Smyrna Beach, but will happily drive to Port Orange several times a month to satisfy my cravings. If I win the lottery I will go every day. Hope it works for you. If you see someone with a big smile over a plate of Drunken Noodles it’s probably me.”
The Asian Sauce Box also received an excellent review. “My family and I were in Port Orange and decided to look for a place to have dinner. We found the Asian Sauce Box and decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very pleasant woman; I believe she was the proprietor. I ordered the Panang Curry, my husband ordered the Peking Duck, my daughter ordered the Fried rice .Everything was delicious and the portions were very big.
We will definitely go back! Asian Sauce Box is nice inside and they have good food. I love their tofu hot pot. They also have good spring rolls. All around a good Asian restaurant in the area.”
